Message This is a repost of a thread that was closed last month;
I've been trying to solve a high idle issue for about a month now with little progress. The problem is that with the aac unplugged or turned off ( I set the aac value to "0" in NissanDataScan) the idle is ~750 rpms but, if I plug in the aac, the idle rises to ~1200. I've followed this page a few times
[ [ http://home.swipnet.se/e-solutions/IdleTech.html ] ]

The aac ohms at ~10-11 and the FICD ohms at ~22. I removed the IAA, soaked it in mineral spirits ( just the aluminum, not the solenoids! ) cleaned all the connectors and, made sure that all the springy things moved freely. I've cleaned the TB's, set the tps to ~44 and done multiple boost leak checks. All turned out good but, the DAMNED idle is still too high. I read about the water temp sensor and believe that it's working ( I see the temp changing in NDS and if I pull it, the aux fan comes on and the temp goes to 176 F regardless of the actual temp. )

Just kinda lost on where to go from here, I thought about a new IAA but, at ~$300 for a new one and all indication that it's not bad, I'm looking for something else.

Since this post, Ive replaced the water temp sensor, cleaned the MAF and performed multiple boost/leak test. I can get it up to ~5lbs in around a minute. In the FSM it says to pinch the hose between the AAC and the air reg, if there is no drop in idle that points to a vac leak but my test contradict this!! The one thing that sticks out is the fact that when warm ( 176* F) I still have an AAC value of ~40% when everything that I've read says it should be closer to 30%. If I lower the value in NissanDataScan to 30%, it idles at ~850

Sorry for the VERY LONG post but I'm starting to run out of thing to test!!
Any and all suggestions are appreciated!!!
